Graffiti Door

So I went downtown yesterday to hook up with the Toronto Photo Walks group. I was running late so I didn’t bother heading to the meeting place. Instead, I just started walking the back alleys and taking photos until I turned a corner and came upon a large number of photographers. I asked the first person I saw if this was the group, which it was. From there it turned out to be an outstanding day, really wonderful. The people were sooo friendly and welcoming. We went to lunch and had a couple of pints. Then walks and photographed throughout the afternoon. We then hit a pub in the west end and I ended up staying for most of the evening. I got tons of photos I’m with happy with and I’m really looking forward to the next outing. This is the first of many graffiti shots. Obviously I did a little tweaking in LR3. The shot also looks nice in b & w. Hope you like it.

This is a pretty cool picture. Kind of makes you think about each person who left their mark on the door/wall.

  2. Thanks Clara; yeah it does, doesn’t it.

  3. I think the messages are lost amongst all the rest but really need stuff. You got the makings of a door project. 🙂

Photo meets are fun. Get to bounce off ideas with others and see how they photograph. Really helps to boost creativity. The social aspect is a lot of fun, too.
