Little Indian girl on float playing violin

I happened to be downtown during the India Independence Day celebrations — Toronto has a large Indian population — and along Dundas St. near Bay I came across a parade of sorts with floats on long flatbed trucks much like the annual Santa Clause Parade. So of course I started snapping photos as each float passed by. I got a number of keepers, but this one I especially liked. The girl in the middle doesn’t seem all that thrilled to be on the float, but she’s likely too young to really understand how important that day is to her culture. I only wished I knew who the parents of these kids are so I could give them this photo. I also did a crop of just the girl, but I think the shot of them all works best. Hope you like it.
