Bicycle Signal

This photo was taken at the bottom of the Don Valley Parkway where it meets Lakeshore Blvd. in Toronto’s east end. The DVP is a very busy artery in and out of the downtown core of Toronto. It runs quite a bit north of the city. It’s nickname is the Don Valley Parking Lot because it’s always congested with traffic.

  2. Wow. How many signs can you have in one spot?

So Dave, are the bikes supposed to ride down the tracks when their light turns green?

    • It almost looks that way, doesn’t it. Actually, there’s a bike trail right there and I assume the sign and lights is someone’s idea of a joke, since during my entire time there photographing I didn’t see a single cyclist obey the rules of the road. Trust me, if I had I would have taken a photo of it, since it’s something that occurs in this city so rarely. 😉
