100 Steps to fitness

I live about ten minutes from the R.C. Harris Filtration Plant in the beaches, aka The Waterworks. Getting there is all downhill, but getting back is an uphill battle. One morning in the summer I decided to get up really early, like around 5:45 AM, and I walked down to the waterworks. Once there I walked up and down this very long set of steps about five times before heading back up the long hill home. The idea is that I would do this daily or at least every second day as a way to get in shape. I slept in the second morning and never looked back, I’m afraid and slightly embarrassed to say. 🙂 Anyway, this is a photo of those arduous steps. I still maintain it’s a great way to get in shape, if you live in the area and are so inclined.

Been there, done that! I understand you very, very well, Dave…
    Nice shot, BTW.

  2. I hear ya. So far, I’ve kept up my workouts on the treadmill but some mornings, it just does not happen.

They make my knees hurt just looking at them.
