Cross the street

Okay, so here’s something new to my blog. A poll! The first photo is slightly wider than the second one, which pushes the subject a bit left of centre. I like it, but decided to crop the shot a bit to see how it would look with the subject pretty much centred. I like that one too. So I thought I’d give y’all a chance to cast your own vote. What do you think, #1 or #2?

Here’s a good example of a photo that looks best in black & white. I’ve had it kicking around for some time now but really didn’t know what to do with it. I liked it but it just wasn’t speaking to me. Last night I worked on a b & w version and I think that’s just what the doctor called for. Now I really like this shot. It was taken on Yonge St. near Dundas Square. That’s the Eaton Centre in the background. Happy Weekend.

Very nice, black and white was the answer.

I liked the first photo better. The darkest area, being one third the picture, gave it a good balance.
