Lady in Purple

This is a weird shot, for sure. I wanted to try something pretty different. I like it but I’m definitely bias. The big ol’ pole in the foreground sure is intrusive. Breaks the scene right in two. But it does give the photo some depth. If you’ve got a thought on this, don’t be shy and don’t hesitate to say it isn’t working for you.

I love it! I think it gives the feeling of the viewer “hiding” behind the pole to sneak a peek at the lady. Nicely done!!

  2. Thanks Holly. Glad to hear someone likes it besides me. 🙂

I love how you try all this crazy stuff! I like the concept and I think I would have LOVED it if the cars weren’t on the right – only the woman. Hmmm, hard to tell.

Yes, the cars are a bit disturbing, but like photobyholly wrote – the pole suggests the photographer was hiding. Great shot.
