Gritty Toronto in B & W

Two weekends ago on my way downtown for my photo outing I decided to park just west of the Eastern Ave. overpass and walk back up to get some unobstructed photos of the downtown core. I keep promising myself to do this during a really magical sunset or sunrise but it just hasn’t worked out yet. It took me around 10 minutes of waiting before there were almost no cars in the shot. The colour version of this shot is actually pretty bland, but I think converting to black & white helped it a lot. Anyway, hump day’s over. Two left until the long weekend. I can’t wait.

    A very interesting shot.

  2. I like it – the black and white lets all the strong lines lead me into the picture without distractions.

  4. This is a stunning shot. Would very much like to use it in an annual report for a small community agency in Toronto. What’s the best way to contact you? The Dave at lazyphotographer dot ca account bounced.
