Go Leaf Go!

Since it’s hockey season (like I care — I live in Toronto) I thought the title might attract some hockey fans. 🙂 I took this shot yesterday, believe it or not, in -5 C winter weather. A friend and I went to the botanical gardens in Allen Gardens yesterday. It’s a huge greenhouse affair that’s open year round. I honestly wasn’t expecting to get much but was lucky enough to catch a couple of nice photos. This one is about as unoriginal as it gets, but I hadn’t done anything like it before so it’s a first for me. Looks like a macros, right? The leaf is actually about three feet lone and 18 inches wide. A tad deceiving, eh?

Anyway, a little green during winter never hurts, right? Hope you like it. I’ll post some other shots of flowers and such throughout the week.

Like minds here. I don’t know of any nearby botanical gardens, so I’ve been hanging out in a nursery greenhouse. Green is good.
