Lilly Cup factory under big sky

You probably won’t recall but I posted photos of the Lilly Cup factory demolition last fall. That factory has been a landmark in the area for as long as I can remember. Well, here’s a photo of the empty site where it once stood. They put up this little portable some time back and ever since I’ve been waiting for just the right day to get out there and get this shot. I also dialed it up in black & white and it looks even better, in my opinion. I’ll post that one down the road. This is an HDR photo, by the way, which means it is actually three photos overlayed. One is under exposed to capture the highlights, one is correctly exposed, and one is over exposed to capture detail in the shadows. Put them all together and you get a high dynamic range photo, or HDR. Hope you like it.

Nice pic. The last time I past by, I forgot that it was where the cup once stood. Having seen it there all the years, it was kind of strange. The development going up there is called Lilly Factory Townhomes. BTW I gave a print of my last cup photo to the crossing guard who used to work in that factory.
