Christmas eve in Toronto

Happy Christmas eve everyone!!! Thought I’d give you an idea of what Toronto looked like today, on December 24th. Gotta say, I honestly do not recall a better Christmas eve than the one I spent today. Got up and out of the house by 8:30 AM to meet the Toronto Photo Walks group at a breakfast diner on Broadview at Danforth. Around a dozen or so showed up. Had a hardy breakfast with lots of conversion and laughter then headed out for a nice walk. I really dressed warm for it today. It was simply amazing. Pretty cold at around -8 C when we started, but no wind to speak of. We stopped for coffee and then later for beers and lunch. I had such a good time and didn’t think about any of my worries for the whole day. It helped that I’d gotten caught up on all my chores a couple of days back so I didn’t have anything on my mind. Anyway, as you can see in this shot, no snow and nothing but nice weather. This is actually nine photos stitched together in Photoshop. It’s Riverdale Park just east of the Don Valley, facing west to downtown. If you look closely at those skyscrapers in the far distance you can make out the CN Tower. To give a sense of scale, check out the guy walking his dog in the bottom right hand side of the photo. So have a fun evening and don’t forget to lube up the chimney hole with KY jelly so Santa doesn’t get stuck! 🙂
