Another year done

Well, here we are at the end of another year. I have to say, it’s been a pretty good year. I’m not big on making resolutions so I guess I’ll just resolve to try to be a better person. That’s generic enough not to get me into too much trouble. I’d love to lose some weight and get back into shape, but that’s a commitment one must be ready to embrace, without arbitrary start dates and such. I’d like to say I’m ready but I really don’t feel ready. It’s after 5:00 PM and I haven’t even left the house today. After breakfast this morning I forced myself to spend the day working in the winter edition of the magazine. I’m relieved to say I’ve got it almost all finished. It’s one of those chores that’s so easy to put off, but that nags me like a monkey on my back. At least I won’t be waking up to the guilt of not working on it. The rest of the weekend should be good. My furnace was acting up but the repair guy came by last night and fixed it. Tonight I’m supposed to go see a band with a couple other photographers, but right now I’m feeling kinda beat. Tomorrow I’m meeting someone for brunch and to show her some Lightroom stuff. That should be fun. Anyway, hope you have a wonderful new years even. Be safe and whatever you do don’t drink and drive; it’s just not worth it.

You’ve had QUITE the year, Dave and all of your success is well deserved! I can’t imagine you being a better person as you are already pretty darn spectacular. Good heart, good soul. You ARE one of the good guys. 🙂

Our evening will be quiet…just finished a nice dinner of beef wellington, gravy, roasted butternut squash and steamed snowpeas. We’ve even got the TINIEST chocolate cream pie for later along with a glass of champagne. Hopefully, we’ll make it to midnight!

I don’t believe in resolutions. I agree with you re: fitness committments. You DO have to be ready. You’ll know it when you are.

Tkae care and have a safe and happy New Year’s and a great rest to your weekend! 🙂

    • Thanks a million, Tracy. Sounds like you had a pretty great meal tonight. Yum. I had prime rib and veggies…out of a can, mind you. But it was still tasty. 🙂

I’m going to have a spot of wine and hit the hay early. I had planned to go to an Irish Pub but my back’s been acting up and I can hardly walk right now. I’ll be fine by the morning, I hope.

You have a great evening. Type to you soon.
