Car Wash

Remember that song from the late ’70s or early ’80s? “Goin’ to the car wash…” I can’t wash my car in the winter or the doors will freeze up and then I’m in a real mess. I love my Ford but hate the fact the doors and windows can’t seem to handle anything below around -10 C. It’s Canada, for crying out loud — you’d think they’d design a vehicle that can handle a little wet and cold. I’d love to buy a new car. I think I’m due. Problem is, I’m about to plop down a huge chunk of changes on a new tooth. I hate these kinds of expenses. At least my company plan is covering a bit of it. I’m at home waiting for my buddy to come get me for 11:00 AM. The surgery is at high noon. I should be home by 1:00 but suspect I won’t be feeling all that chipper. Oh well. This is the hard part. After this I’ll get fitted for a tooth and then it’s over. Probably a few months out. Happy Friday and hope you’re having a good day.

Now that song is going to be stuck in my head all day. Good luck with the tooth business and to speedy recovery!

Dental woes are no fun. Especially since American dental insurance is usually sucky or non-existent for most people (my family included). My husband fell earlier this week flat on his face and knocked one tooth out and it looks like he’s going to need three more extracted this week since they got knocked loose and broken when he fell, too. 43 years old and denture time, since insurance won’t pay for implants. Too expensive. Sad sad.

Good luck with your appointment and hope you don’t end up in too much pain. I wish you a speedy recovery!
