Well this is a first — a self portrait. Since it’s a snow day I got to playing around with my camera in the house and decided to see if I could take a photo of myself that I’d actually be okay about posting. Plus, I wanted to change my avatar image. So here I am. You can’t see my face, but you get the general idea. Plus, it usually has a camera up to it anyway. 😉

Nice photo, but we were hoping to see your face; so for your next portrait try to take it without hiding behind your camera and at the same time pick a nice background 🙂
LOL… Lulu, you see my face for almost 40 hours a week! I would think that’s more than enough. 🙂 Truth be told, I simply do not take a nice photo. It never “looks” like me. I’ve tried and they all come out looking pretty bad. But I will agree about that background. 🙂 Thanks.
is that your 550D? Have you got a battery pack on the bottom there?
(typical – you take a revelatory self-portrait and another photographer asks about your CAMERA…)
Yep, that’s my camera and yes that’s a battery pack. I shoot a lot of portrait oriented photos so I figured it would make sense to have the battery pack. And the extra battery gives me awesome battery life.
Thanks for dropping by today, Lightswimming. Happy Sunday.
enjoying your work. Added you to my blogroll (in fact, to be accurate – added a blogroll to my blog, so I could add you to my blogroll….). cheers
Thank you so much, that’s very nice of you. I’ll pop by for a visit soon. Thanks again.
There you are! Well, almost. 😉 You are getting braver! We are all friends here…at some point I just know you will reveal yourself.
I feel the same way about selfs (but even I have one on my blog). Nice to maintain some sense of privacy, which is so rare these days.
Oh I think this is about it for me. I just wanted a different avatar or whatever you call it. I’ve seen your self portrait, you’re beautiful, my dear. 😉
No fair! I’ve shown you mine… 😉
You are too, kind. I don’t mind that photo, but it is from a few years back. Face is a bit slimmer these days (and that is a good thing!) 🙂
Oh it’s a lovely shot and as I said, you look great! Great hair, too. 🙂
Ah, yes…the hair. I have alot. I get stopped all the time about it. It is both a blessing and a curse! 🙂
And you have lovely eyes, too, Tracy. 🙂
Aw, *shucks*. Thanks, Dave.
