Building made of a whole lotta bricks

I took this shot a couple of weeks back during a west-end outing with the photo walks group that saw us pass through the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) grounds. I wasn’t sure of this shot until I noticed the guy and his dog about to stroll into it. I took maybe four shots as he walked through the scene. I like this one best. Without the guy and his pooch, the shot would be pretty boring, I think. I’m not entirely convinced it’s still not boring. I’ve got sooo many shots to share with you from the past couple of months it’s going to take me like a year to post them all, once day at a time. Many are far more engaging/exciting than this one, which begs the question, “Then why the f*ck waste our time with it, Dave?” Good question, everyone. A good answer doesn’t come to mind at the moment. Let me get back to you.

Had an awesome day at work today! The morning was a bit sketchy since I was dog tired from taking a combination of meds last night to ensure I slept through the night. They worked, but the side effect was I awoke all groggy headed. If I’d only gotten two more hours sleep I would have been fine. But by late morning I was feeling pretty darn good. And since I went in extra early to beat the storm (turned out to be little more than a rain event here) I got to split 45 minutes early and beat the rush hour traffic home. Nice. I’m actually starting to wonder if I’m bipolar, since I really shouldn’t be feeling this great. Man my ups can be so high and my downs so low, at times. Don’t worry, I’m not bipolar.

Hope you have a great weekend. I’m not sure what I’m doing but I think I’ll try to get out tomorrow. I want to see a photography exhibit being put on by the University of Toronto, so maybe I’ll fit that into my plans.

quite inspiring for my own work, especially the repetition of bricks and the grid produced by it, thanks for sharing!
