Bartender takes a break

This photo dates back to March of last year. Oddly, when I looked at it I thought I’d taken it just a few weeks back. But I think it’s that I processed it only a few weeks back. I can’t recall if this is a hip shot or if I actually pointed the camera at him. I think he knew he was being photographed. I shot it at 50mm, so I must have been some distance away from him — probably 10-15 feet. Pretty tired this morning, and a tad hungover, to be honest. I usually never have more than two beers but last night I had a third. Oh well, I’ll live. Supposed to rain today, although it’s yet to begin. Doesn’t matter to me, I’m not going anywhere. No, scratch that, I think I’ll bring my e-reader to a nice cafe downtown this afternoon and spend some time reading over a cappuccino. I’ll use that relaxing experience as a reward for getting my chores done this morning. I really love hanging out in the street window of a cafe when it’s raining. Maybe even hit a bookstore, to boot.

Wow, if that’s something that you’ve captured from the hip, I wonder what lies in store for us when you put up the camera to your eye! Fantastic shot.
