Empty World

I shot this a couple of weeks back during an Easter Sunday outing by myself. Boy was the downtown core quiet that day. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be the only person on earth. How long could you survive with such loneliness. At least with a world full of people if you’re having a lonely day there’s always a chance tomorrow won’t be as bad. But being the last man or woman on earth would mean there’d be no hope. You’d have to get used to your own company. Sort of like Tom Hanks in Castaway.

I think I’ll head downtown for a bit this morning with the camera. See what’s up. I’ve got a lot of work to do this weekend so I’ll have to be a good boy and not waste the day playing around. Hope you have a nice weekend.

  1. Have you watched the movie Wall-E? Great animated film that explores a world of one. Always enjoy your pics. Added you to my blogroll @ trainscamera.wordpress.com. I’m enjoying a pic-a-day challenge and started my hobby-photo blog with that inspiration. Have a great weekend with enough playing around to capture some of your great photos.
