Relaxing on Spadina

Got out with the photo walks group yesterday morning. Only around a dozen of us. I didn’t get home until after 8:00 PM and then only to wash up and head back out to meet a coupe of buddies for a couple of pints. Didn’t get to bed until almost 2:00 AM and then woke up bright and early at 4:20. Yikes. Pretty tired today and have a ton of stuff to do to get ready for my return to work tomorrow. Anyway, during the walk I saw this guy just hanging out in front of a closed-up shot on Spadina Ave yesterday and asked him for a photo. I think it came out okay.

Very interesting! A pensive, perhaps disgusted or weary man, sitting in front of very colorful graffiti. What a contrast. I find I want to know about him. Is he just tired of all the vagaries of life? He looks thoroughly disillusioned. Hmmm?

    • He does, yes, but you know what, he didn’t come across that way at all. He wasn’t begging or anything, just sitting there. He spoke well and was happy to let me photograph him. I gave him a couple of bucks for it, which he seemed to really appreciate. But the look is a great one. Your description nails it.
