Well I had my reception for the photo exhibition at the Beacher Cafe last night and I’ve got to say it was all a bit overwhelming — in a good way, of course. The place was packed. Many of my friends from the photo walks group showed up, of course. I had friends from work show up. My friends Jane and Margaret came in from out of town. Another friend from my magazine work came by. My ex-girlfriend popped in. An old high school friend came along. And Frances came (thank you Frances). Even my grade 10 high school teacher showed up, along with one of my customers from back when I was a contractor. It was an amazing time. People were all so generous with their compliments. The place was a buzz with laugter and conversation and fun. I sure hope everyone enjoyed themselves. I tried hard to make sure I got to talk to everyone. At first I was a bit anxious but soon enough I settled down and enjoyed the evening. Anyway, I suppose you could call it a big success. Here’s a slideshow of the evening.
