Here’s your typical Canadian winter shot – two guys walking over to the local outdoor ice rink to play some hockey on Christmas day.  I pushed the ISO to 800 in order to force a much faster shutter speed. The allowed me to “freeze” the snow in the air. I was drawn to the scene but especially the guy’s red coat. I knew that would sort of pop in the photo. It was freezing cold and blustery that day, as I recall. Nothing like it would be a week later when the polar vortex rolled in and dropped the temps to around -15 to -25 C. Anyway, happy Saturday. Have a nice weekend.
