This is one of the barracks at the abandoned Piton air force base. I was out there last fall with Teresa. That was a fun day. This shot is actually an HDR, meaning three photos taken at different apertures and then stitched together to create one high dynamic range photo. Simply, you pick up details in the shadows and highlights this way. I took this shot with my camera held over my head and not knowing what it was catching through the window. I love old abandoned buildings. I’d love to visit some of the sketchy parts of Detroit. I think I’d need security for that outing, though. Anyway, have a great evening. I’m home and about to watch “The Book Thief.” It’s based on one of my favourite books.
