If you ever want to put your troubles in perspective, just go for a walkabout in downtown Toronto. There are homeless people everywhere. I suspect most are on the streets due to various substance addictions and mental health issues. There’s no easy answer to solving this problem. You can’t even blame the government, for that matter. They are trying but we just don’t have the money to really make an impact. Anyway, hope you had a nice weekend. Mine was quiet. Washed the new ride and gave it a good wax job. It’s nice and shinny. Other than that, I really didn’t get out over the weekend.

Sadly there are. It’s tough to walk by. But it definitely is a reminder that I am very fortunate.

It’s certainly a troubling dilemma in many parts of Canada and the world. Here in Winnipeg, I can’t walk more than one block downtown without encountering several homeless people. It’s difficult to see and I try to find the time to stop and talk with them and get their story.

    • I just wish our government would focus more on helping those who really need it rather than on buying votes for the next election by flushing our money down the drain on crap we really don’t need. And they are all guilty of it.
