Derelict gas station with black car

QueensQuay2-70-HDR-EDITED

Here’s a shot I’ve been planning for a couple of weeks now. This derelict gas station/mechanic’s garage is a block over from my house. The property’s been sold and yet another low-rise condo project is in the works. My big concern is that by the time I could get there they’d have town down the thing. I had to go early morning for the light, as the place faces east, so Sunday morning I was out by 9:30 AM to shoot it. I took a bunch of shots and some I processed in black & white. In other words, more to come. Oh, and with this shot I took three different exposures and used the new HDR (high dynamic range) feature in Lightroom 6 to merge them. It seems to work flawlessly, so far. Anyway, hope you like it.

    Hi Dave,

Is this station on Queen street and Curzon? Looks just like a Fina station that was there when I grew up.
