Beck in the light

SimcoeDay2015-87-EDITED

Shot this none yesterday during a few hours downtown. First I saw the light and considered the shot I wanted. Then I waited for a bike or something to pass through this light. And I waited. And I waited some more. Finally, I saw a cab at the lights down the street and knew he’d be passing right through my light and there might be a nice shot in that. And here it is. It’s not my best shot of the day but I’m still quite pleased with it; particularly the part where I’d already envisioned the final product in advance and then waited for it to happen. I think that’s an important aspect of street photography. You have the makings of a good photograph but it’s still missing ingredients, so you wait for the final ingredients to arrive and include themselves into your final dish. Hope you like it.
