Sunset Cyclist

SeptSat-104-EDITED

Boy this was one lucky shot. I spent a couple of hours out yesterday and really didn’t get much. Then, just 40 feet from the entrance to the parking garage where my car was, I noticed this guy on the bike. I snapped him from a distance but immediately realized the shot I wanted would involve me getting a lot closer. I quietly got in position, fired off a shot, then quickly turned and pointed my camera across the street. As I suspected, the sound of my shutter caused him to turn but by the time he did I was already looking at something else and he didn’t catch on at all that I’d just photographed him. This is one of my favourite shots of the summer. Hope you like it.
