Oasis at Kensington Market

VillageFest-LittleItalyFest-203-EDITED

Sorry, not Liam and Noel Gallagher, just some guy in a t-shirt at Kensington Market. The t-shirt isn’t even advertising the band, but a bar in Toronto. As for the shot, I just looked at him and nodded and tapped my lens. Very low key. He nodded back and the photo was made. I often find that engaging a subject like this is a good way to ensure you don’t get too much of a reaction from them. What I don’t want is a big smile and a peace sign or something. I want the shot to look at natural and candid as it can, under the circumstances. That’s best achieved by not making a big deal of it. At least it works for me. Your mileage may vary.
