Tornado
This is an art installation along Toronto’s harbourfront. Sort of looks like a tornado to me. It’s pretty impressive. I shot this on June 27th, which is the last time I was out with my camera. It’s been too hot … Continue reading

Green Blue Black
This is actually a large sculpture in front of a new condo development on Richmond. I can’t recall the cross street but it’s just a couple of lights east of Spadina. I think the colours really go together well. I … Continue reading

Large Two Forms outside the AGO
I shot this through the Henry Moore sculpture, Large Two Forms, outside the AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario, Dundas St & McCaul St.). I was actually going to provide some history of this piece, but when I did a little … Continue reading

Up into the night
Here’s another shot from Saturday night. This was taken in the square out front of the ACC, our big hokey arena here in Toronto. The camera was on a tripod pointing straight up. I shot it in bulb mode with … Continue reading

Big Head
This one dates back only a few weeks now, to the last photo walk I was on. I saw this remarkable carving on Carlaw Ave in Toronto’s east end and figured it would make a neat shot. Anyway, it was … Continue reading

City Hall art installation
Got out for a short walk downtown yesterday and popped by City Hall to see the outdoor art installation in the reflecting pool out front. Pretty interesting stuff, but hard to photograph. Hope you like it.

Metal Monster
This is an art installation called “Koilos” by Michael Christian, located at the west entrance to the Distillery District. I’ve shot it before but I don’t think I ever shared this shot. I took it with my Tokina wide angle lens. … Continue reading
Gollum at sunset
This is at the Distillery District from last weekend. I’ve photographed this sculpture from the front on a few occasions. It’s very large and best handled with a wide angle lens. I never seem to have mine with me when … Continue reading
